We closed on our house on May 16th 2014 and a severe hail storm occurred in our neighborhood on May 23rd. We were still in the process of moving. In July, we noticed roofs o several homes in our neighborhood were being replaced. We got 2 separate reputable roofing companies to look at it, both of them said we had similar damage as the other houses being fixed. We filed a claim. Our adjuster came and denied our claim based on a 'veritas' report that this area had no storm since 2012. We provided all the documentation- reports of hail, pictures, video and dates on the claims of other houses. Then the Insurance company told us to get third party inspection done from one of their companies. The inspector came on Jan 22nd 2015 and performed the inspection; his report is still due; BUT today we got a certified letter from them dated Jan 20th asking us to replace our roof or they will drop us!
