My brother has been deceased for 14 years and has a life insurance policy in effect. The insurance company asked me to fax them the death certificate and copy of obituary approximately 15 days later they send a letter naming a beneficiary who has our last name but the first name is not anyone we know in relation to our family, they are telling me that this person passed away after my brother passed away and they will pay the cost of this persons funeral and any remaining benefits to their survivors, I sent a notarized letter telling them there is no such person related to my brother or our family and they are still requesting me to get them information I don't know how to proceed with them at this point, any advice would be appreciated.
