My insurance company's adjustor (American Modern Ins. Grp.) is still requesting a set of plans for the new house. My last letter to him clearly stated that 'what I lost' and 'what I rebuild' has no bearing on my claim whatsoever and no plans were sent. Are there other insurance companies who require this? This is nothing in my policy suggesting, or asking for, a set of plans, yet he's becoming insistent. Are they trying to 'trap' us into something? I also sent him a detailed decription of the new building codes with code numbers and reference sections signed by our contractor clearly showing all of the amounts. See the most recent letter (attachment) from AMIC and see if anything seems 'fishy' . . . .thanks for all your help!
